Tread lightly where you do not belong,
Your presence lingers long after you’ve gone.
Oh careless pedestrian, stay the path!
The gate is open, I have tied the latch.

Footprints and fingerprints leave a mark
That press deep into the landscape,
Lasting and stark.

Thoughtless handling,
bruises and wilts tender flora,
stealing the vitality of natures aura.

Tread lightly where you do not belong,
Your presence lingers long after you’ve gone.
Oh careless pedestrian, stay the path!
The gate is open, I have tied the latch.

Hidden footpaths entice and allure,
Knowledge of the hidden footstones
make the invitation sure.

Secret, sun dappled, Verdant and lush,
Kisses of warmth waft over the nearby rush.

You and I alone,
beyond the gate,
beyond the stone.
Beyond the bounds that love has known.

Tread lightly where you do not belong,
Your presence lingers long after you’ve gone.
Oh cautious pedestrian, stray the path!
The gate is open, I have tied the latch.
